thoroughly prepare patients for their procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, and other cardiovascular imaging procedures with precision and care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operate and maintain fluoroscopy machines, digital imaging systems, and other specialized<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cardiac Cath Lab equipment to ensure optimal performance; maintain proper temperatures of solutions used in examination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performs and documents ongoing assessments including observation, physical examination laboratory\/test results and patient response to procedural intervention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assess and manage patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab, and support interventional radiology as needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a vigilant focus on patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participates in the identification and clarification of patient needs as evidenced by participation in multidisciplinary care planning to achieve optimal outcomes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Actively participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, including adherence to radiation safety and infection control protocols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referral to ensure continuity of care after discharge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enforce strict adherence to radiation protection policies as well as infection prevention guidelines to safeguard both patients and healthcare providers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide and ensure appropriate health teaching and counselling to individuals, families and community; incorporates patient teaching\/discharge planning to promote optimal outcome<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay informed and up to date on advancements in cardiac imaging technology through on-going education and training efforts; maintain familiarity with the legal implications of nursing practice and ensure that legal requirements are met<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify research topics, construct a research plan, and carry out surveys at the operational level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Dimensions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Analytical Decisions: Reviewing and interpreting data and information and options to inform decision-making and the execution of responsibilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operational Decisions: Day-to-day work tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark>Job Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Attributes)<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Academic Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Diploma in Imaging Sciences or related field from a recognized institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Professional Certification and Membership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Certified in Cath Lab or equivalent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Membership with Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority (KNRA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Work Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum 4 years\u2019 experience in cardiovascular imaging and cardiac catheterization, preferably in a Cath Lab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Functional Skills and Behavioral Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Able to demonstrate initiative and ownership of assignment and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and prioritize key initiatives and opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>influence others, and to be a joy to work with<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High level of organization and attention to detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An individual who exemplifies integrity and honesty<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Active listening, and presentation skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to prioritize tasks;
