{"id":20,"date":"2026-01-27T04:37:32","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T04:37:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobconnect.co.ke\/?p=20"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:09:03","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:09:03","slug":"audit-associate-at-people-foco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jobconnect.co.ke\/index.php\/2026\/01\/27\/audit-associate-at-people-foco\/","title":{"rendered":"Audit Associate at People FOCO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Role Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our client is a&nbsp;<strong>well-established professional services firm<\/strong>&nbsp;providing accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client base.The Audit Associate will support external and internal audit engagements while also actively participating in outsourced accounting assignments, reconciliations, and periodic financial reporting for clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Audit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in planning and execution of audit assignments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform audit testing and documentation in line with ICPAK standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare working papers and audit schedules<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in stock counts, confirmations, and fieldwork<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support preparation of audit reports and management letters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Outsourced Accounting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain client books of accounts (posting, reconciliations, reviews)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare trial balances and financial statements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support VAT, PAYE, withholding tax reviews<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in month-end and year-end closings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with cloud accounting systems (Zoho Books \/ QuickBooks)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CPA (Part I or II) or actively pursuing CPA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prior experience in\u00a0<strong>audit or outsourced accounting<\/strong>\u00a0is an added advantage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong understanding of basic accounting and audit principles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good analytical and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work with minimal supervision<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to learn and grow in a hybrid role<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Role Purpose Our client is a&nbsp;well-established professional services firm&nbsp;providing accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client base.The Audit Associate will support external and internal audit engagements while also actively participating in outsourced accounting assignments, reconciliations, and periodic financial reporting for clients.
