{"id":32,"date":"2026-02-14T09:59:04","date_gmt":"2026-02-14T09:59:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobconnect.co.ke\/?p=32"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:08:04","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:08:04","slug":"group-finance-director-manufacturing-industry-readvertisement-at-hcs-affiliates-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jobconnect.co.ke\/index.php\/2026\/02\/14\/group-finance-director-manufacturing-industry-readvertisement-at-hcs-affiliates-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Group Finance Director (Manufacturing Industry) &#8211; Readvertisement at HCS Affiliates Group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing group for an experienced and strategic&nbsp;<strong>Group Finance Director<\/strong>&nbsp;to drive financial performance, governance and long-term growth across multiple operating entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Role Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Group Finance Director will provide&nbsp;<strong>strategic, commercial, and operational financial leadership<\/strong>, partnering closely with the Group Managing Director, Executive Committee, and Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The role requires a deep understanding of&nbsp;<strong>manufacturing economics<\/strong>, strong cost and cash discipline, and the ability to influence decisions&nbsp;<strong>from the factory floor to the boardroom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead and execute the Group\u2019s finance strategy, budgeting, forecasting and business planning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide strategic financial advice to the GMD, Board and Executive Leadership Team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee financial reporting, compliance with US GAAP\/IFRS and local statutory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive profitability, working capital optimization and cost efficiency initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead fundraising, financing negotiations and investment planning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support mergers, acquisitions, tax planning and corporate structuring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthen internal controls, risk management and governance frameworks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide leadership and development for the finance team across the Group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Performance Areas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Profit Before Tax growth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liquidity &amp; working capital optimization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong internal controls and governance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Debt-to-equity management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leadership and talent development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong>\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science or related field. MBA preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CPA (K) and ICPAK membership mandatory; US GAAP experience is an advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manufacturing Finance Leadership:\u00a0<\/strong>At least 10 years in senior finance roles within manufacturing\/industrial production, with direct exposure to plant operations and cost drivers (audit\/advisory-only backgrounds not suitable).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cost Accounting Expertise:\u00a0<\/strong>Strong command of standard costing, variance analysis, BOMs, overhead allocation, and product\/SKU profitability, with proven margin and cost-reduction results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cash &amp; Working Capital Management:\u00a0<\/strong>Track record of optimizing inventory and strengthening cash flow in asset-heavy environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kenyan Tax &amp; Compliance:\u00a0<\/strong>Hands-on experience with KRA audits and disputes, plus solid knowledge of VAT, customs\/excise, and statutory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Capex &amp; Investment Evaluation:\u00a0<\/strong>Experience assessing plant and machinery investments using IRR\/NPV and conducting post-investment reviews.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Operational Partnership:\u00a0<\/strong>Ability to influence plant and operations leaders while engaging effectively at Board level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stakeholder Engagement<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will work closely with Board members, auditors, regulators, investment partners and senior leadership across the business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing group for an experienced and strategic&nbsp;Group Finance Director&nbsp;to drive financial performance, governance and long-term growth across multiple operating entities.
